The Ruins Seattle Wedding Inspiration: A Bridal Fashion Editorial
If you’re dreaming about a wedding at The Ruins in Seattle, this bridal fashion editorial is full of inspiration. The Gilded Three brought together three brides, jewel tones, beautiful details, and a fashion-forward vision. It all paired so well with The Ruins’ moody interiors and gorgeous architecture. I loved getting to photograph something so dreamy and creative in such a beautiful Seattle wedding venue.

The Gilded Three: Bridal Seattle Fashion Photography at The Ruins
The Gilded Three was built around three different bridal looks. Each look was inspired by a jewel tone: sapphire, ruby, and emerald. And every look had its own personality, but together they created a really strong visual story.
I loved how the styling played against The Ruins itself. The rich colors, statement gowns, jewelry, florals, and beauty looks all stood out against the moody interiors and architecture. It felt fashion-forward while still keeping that dreamy, romantic quality that connects it back to weddings.

Why The Ruins Works So Well for a Seattle Wedding
Photographing at The Ruins made it so easy to understand why couples are loving this Seattle wedding venue. Every room has its own personality, and there’s always another corner or little detail that made me want to stop and photograph it.
The darker interiors worked so well with the jewel tones from this editorial, but I could also see this venue going in so many different directions for a real wedding day! You could lean into the moodiness, bring in tons of color, keep everything soft and romantic, or go completely fashion-forward with it.
After getting to create here, I would absolutely love to come back and photograph a full wedding at The Ruins!

Wedding Inspiration for the Fashion-Forward Bride
One of my favorite things about this editorial was how much personality came through in the styling. The jewel-toned gowns, bold jewelry, hair, and florals all felt intentional and each look was totally different.
If you’re planning a wedding at The Ruins, this is such a good reminder that your wedding style doesn’t have to follow one formula. You can pull in color, play with fashion, choose details that feel like you, and let the venue support your chosen look instead of competing with it.

Planning a Wedding at The Ruins in Seattle
If this editorial has you wondering what a wedding at The Ruins could look like, there’s even more to explore. The venue sits in Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne neighborhood and includes several distinct spaces. You’ll find the Dining Room, Ballroom, Lounge, courtyard, and even a secret library! Current venue information lists ceremony and reception options for up to 150 seated guests. Catering is provided by Herban Feast.
One thing I loved while photographing here was how different each space felt. They have gorgeous painted murals and rich colors to fireplaces, darker corners, and softer natural light. For a wedding day, that gives you so much room to make the space feel like you and create photos that don’t all look like they came from the exact same backdrop.
So if you’re planning a wedding at The Ruins in Seattle, I’d be so excited to hear what you’re dreaming up! If you’re looking for a photographer who already knows and loves the space, even better. More about me
Hi, I'm Lauren - PNW mother, lover, and photographer
About Lauren
Photography that starts with people.
I was the yearbook kid. The one who always had a camera, always wanted to document the people around me. When my friends couldn't afford senior photos, I picked up a camera and decided that if nobody else was going to make sure they had beautiful photographs of themselves, I would.
That was the beginning, and I've never really stopped from there.
In 2018 I shot my first wedding and completely fell in love with the industry. All these years later, I'm still here -- still loving it, still showing up with fresh eyes.
Now I have my own studio inside the historic Tacoma City Hall building, a toddler who keeps me honest, and a deep appreciation for the fact that nothing stays the same for long. All of these things shape the way I take photographs.
