A Fresh Start: my new website is live!

Last summer, in the quiet, sleepless hours of maternity leave, I found myself deep in thought about the future of my business. Between middle-of-the-night feedings and exhaustion-fueled social media scrolls, I kept coming back to the same questions—Where do I want this to go? Do I still want this? What’s my purpose here?

This year marks almost ten years since I first started photographing love stories. A whole decade of freezing moments in time, witnessing once-in-a-lifetime celebrations, and giving people something tangible to hold onto—memories they can cherish forever. But if I’m being honest, I’ve never truly felt like I did myself justice when it came to my online presence.

I’ve always poured my heart into my work, but my website? It never really felt like me.

Until now.

The right people make all the difference

Rebranding is such a personal, emotional process. It’s not just about colors, fonts, or layouts—it’s about capturing your essence, your passion, the why behind what you do. And I knew I needed the right person to bring that vision to life.

I can’t say enough about the talent, patience, and insight Robyn brought to this project. She didn’t just design a website; She saw me, understood my goals, and helped translate my heart into something I’m truly proud of. After months of collaboration, countless conversations, and refining every little detail, it’s bittersweet to say the project is complete. But I am so grateful.

More than just a website

This isn’t just a website relaunch. It’s a reflection of my journey. A love letter to the work I’ve poured my soul into for nearly a decade. A space where the hopeless romantic in me shines through in every image, every word, and every detail.

Because here’s the thing—people’s memories are the most precious thing to me. I’ll never downplay how important that is. Every wedding, every moment, every fleeting second I get to capture holds so much weight. And I don’t take that lightly.

I feel so lucky to do this. To witness love in its rawest, most beautiful form. To document the memories that will be cherished for generations. To create something that truly matters.

I mean, how cool is it that this is my job?!

The next chapter

So here we are—launch day! A fresh start. A new beginning. A clean and updated editing style. And I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all.

About Lauren

Photography that starts with people.

I was the yearbook kid. The one who always had a camera, always wanted to document the people around me. When my friends couldn't afford senior photos, I picked up a camera and decided that if nobody else was going to make sure they had beautiful photographs of themselves, I would.

That was the beginning, and I've never really stopped from there.

In 2018 I shot my first wedding and completely fell in love with the industry. All these years later, I'm still here -- still loving it, still showing up with fresh eyes.
xNow I have my own studio inside the historic Tacoma City Hall building, a toddler who keeps me honest, and a deep appreciation for the fact that nothing stays the same for long. All of these things shape the way I take photographs.
